Required Personal Information. GoinGlobal does not require you to create a personal account or provide any personally-identifiable information in order to access the site. Any user accessing GoinGlobal from a subscribing organization will authenticate as an “anonymous user” and will have unlimited access to all subscription content available to the subscribing institution.

In the event you wish to access GoinGlobal directly or customize your GoinGlobal user experience by bookmarking content or saving job/internship searches, you may elect to create an optional GoinGlobal personal account. During personal account creation, GoinGlobal will collect to the following information on the registration page:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Type of User (Student, Faculty/Staff, Alumni)
  • Career Focus

We will only use this information to provide you with a more customized experience on the site, to identify you as a unique user, to notify you of new job or internship listings if desired, and to provide aggregated site usage reporting to your subscribing organization.

Sensitive Information. GoinGlobal does not collect any sensitive personal information such as a social security number, banking information, driver’s license number, race, ethnicity, religious affiliation or political association. 

Relevance. We only collect only as much personal information as we need for specific, identified purposes outlined in this document, and we won’t use it for other purposes without obtaining your consent.

Retention. We’ll keep your personal information only as long as you maintain an active GoinGlobal account. GoinGlobal personal accounts must be renewed every 180 days. In the event you decide not to renew your account, your account and any associated personal information and/or notification preferences will automatically be deleted from our system.

Cancellation. If you no longer want to maintain an active personal account with GoinGlobal, you may cancel your account at any time by sending an email to: support@goinglobal.com. All data associated with your account will be purged from our system on cancellation, and you will no longer receive email notifications from GoinGlobal.

Accuracy. We make every reasonable effort to ensure the personal information in our records is accurate.

Access. We acknowledge your right to access personal information you have provided to GoinGlobal. You can obtain a copy of personal information, change your account preferences, or withdraw any consent you may have previously provided by contacting: support@goinglobal.com.

Security. We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. Non-disclosure of personal information, including names of personal account holders, to the subscribing organization is protected by this policy. By using GoinGlobal and providing personal information to us, you agree that we can communicate with you regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have a legal right to receive written notice of a data privacy or security breach. If you suspect your account or personal information is no longer secure, please notify us at support@goinglobal.com.

Sharing. Except as described in this policy, we won’t share your personal information with third parties without your consent.

Information from Third-Party Social Media Services. GoinGlobal allows you to create an optional account and log in through the following Third-party Social Media Services:

  • Google
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn

If you decide to register through a Third-Party Social Media Service, we may collect personal data that is already associated with the Social Media Service's account, such as your name and your email address.

Tracking Technologies. GoinGlobal uses Google Analytics to monitor site activity and capture aggregate usage data. All information collected through Google Analytics is de-identified, compiled on an aggregate level and is not linked to your personal account. Collected information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, geolocation, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and other data. GoinGlobal may save this information in log form and/or share usage data with the subscribing institution. 

Links to Other Sites. This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. No data is transferred when you connect to these external sites, and they are provided solely to enhance your learning experience. We encourage all GoinGlobal users to exercise caution when leaving our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally-identifiable information. 

Privacy Policy for Minors. Our website offers content that is recommended for college-age or older adults and is not intended for use by children. Only users who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary academic institution, are members of a professional association, or are an employee of a subscribing organization are permitted to access and use our products and services. We do not knowingly make GoinGlobal available to minors or collect any personal data from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to amend all or part of our Privacy Statements at any time. The version published on this site is the version currently in force. Changes to our Privacy Statement will be effective immediately once published on GoinGlobal unless otherwise noted. Your use of the GoinGlobal site following any amendments indicates your consent to the practices described in the revised Privacy Policy.
